As I reflect on my second Tech for Educators course I realize how little I know about today's technology. Making the portfolio of google sites wasn't super complicated but it would have been easier if I wasn't on the Ipad. It really interested me how to form my own website. I could use this in my everyday classes & have the students build websites that have to do with the topic we are researching. I found QR codes very interesting as well. The scavenger hunt made learning about QR codes fun. I always pondered what that silly looking bar code like thing is. Now I know that there are many uses for QR codes. I could make a business card for my future career & use a QR code on it. I am excited to make an activity for my students using QR codes.

I also found the portfolio making a little bit stressful and hectic! I think doing it on the ipad also made it a little bit harder than it would have been on the computer. Nevertheless, yours still turned out fab!!
ReplyDeleteI also thought that the QR code scavenger hunt was a fun way to learn about them. I am excited to use them in mynclassroom too!!
Me too Rachel- I thought I was like "expert" in technology but I'm realizing I have a lot of stuff to learn!!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to step out of our comfort zones and use the ipads but persevere and it will get easier. You are off to a great start with your portfolio. I am looking forward to seeing some great QR code projects.
